Christian Fedon is a post-doctoral researcher at the Department of Radiology and Nuclear Medicine of the Radboud University Medical Center. In November 2016, he joined the Advanced X-ray Tomography Imaging (AXTI) group, supervised by Ioannis Sechopoulos. His research work is focused on Monte Carlo simulations and experimental measurements for breast dosimetry towards personalized dose estimation. He is also involved in developing a new global breast dosimetry model within the joint AAPM/EFOMP Task Group 282. He received his Master’s degree in Nuclear Physics from the University of Trieste (Italy) in September 2012. In November 2015 he obtained the qualification of Radiation Protection Expert from the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy in Rome (Italy). In March 2016, he completed his PhD in Medical Physics within the SYRMA-CT project (SYnchrotron Radiation MAmmography – Computed Tomography) at the University of Trieste. From May 2016 to November 2016, he joined the University of Trieste as a post-doctoral researcher, working on applications of Synchrotron Radiation for breast CT. He continues to be associated with the Italian National Institute of Nuclear Physics (INFN).
