Christiana Balta

Christiana Balta studied Applied Physics at the National Technical University of Athens, Greece. In 2014 she received her Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from Delft University of Technology. Her Master thesis project entitled “Intensity-Modulated Proton Therapy for Prostate Cancer: Evaluating strategies to account for interfraction organ motion”, was carried out at the Erasmus Medical Center –Cancer Institute, Rotterdam. Since June 2015 she is a PhD candidate at the Radboud university medical center, Nijmegen. She is a member of the Advanced X-ray Tomographic Imaging group working on clinical image quality assessment framework for breast imaging at the Dutch Reference Centre for Screening. This study aims at bridging the gap between physical measurements and clinical performance in clinical imaging and is supervised by Wouter Veldkamp, Mireille Broeders, Ioannis Sechopoulos and Nico Karssemeijer
