Khalid Daoudi, PhD, holds a master degree in physics "Propagation of waves in complex media" and a PhD degree in Applied Optics from university Pierre et Marie Curie (Paris VII) of Paris, France on his work on Optical-Elastography at Institute Langevin. After he graduated he started a post-doc position at Institute for Biomedical Technology and Technical Medicine, BMPI group at the university of Twente in Netherlands. His research focuses on optical and hybrid acoustical and optical imaging techniques. He worked on several projects related to photoacoustics, acousto-optics and ultrasound and he worked in close collaboration with different companies to develop a commercial portable scanner which combines photoacoustic and ultrasound imaging techniques. Recently he moved to Radboud University Medical Center (Nijmegen, The Netherlands) at the department of Radiology where he will be working on the development of photoacoustic imaging technique at Medical Ultrasound Imaging Center (MUSIC) group.
