Mark van Uden works is an RF-Coil engineer at the biomedical MR research group of the Radboud University Nijmegen Medical Center. For multiple research projects within the BioMR group he develops, built, test and performs safety testing to release RF-coils and hardware for use on volunteers and patients. The RF-coils and hardware are built in a frequency range from 30 MHz up to 300 MHz. In 1993 he started with a study of electrical engineering (MTS) which he finished in 1997. In 2000 he obtained his Bachelor degree in electrical engineering at the Hogeschool ‘s-Hertogenbosch from the study he started in 1997. His Bachelor thesis project in 2000 was already done in the biomedical MR research group and involved the development of transmit-receive switches for an 1.5T MR-scanner. After he obtained his Bachelor degree he worked for 6 years in the RF-coil group at Philips Medical systems to develop RF-coils and other hardware. He returned to the biomedical MR research group in 2007 after a trip of six months in Asia and six months as test engineer at NXP.
