Imaging Technology Center

The Imaging Technology Center is one of 18 Radboudumc Technology centers. The Technology centers are an access point for technological expertise, high-end equipment, biobanks and combinations thereof. The Imaging Technology Center provides cutting-edge technology and service for imaging-related preclinical and clinical research questions. This covers the spectrum from molecule to man to population. The center unites the facilities of the Preclinical Imaging Center PRIME, the Clinical Imaging Center, the Donders Institute for Brain, Cognition and Behaviour, and the Center for Automation in Medical Imaging. It has a close link with imaging of the Image Guided Treatment Technology Center.

PRIME

The Preclinical Imaging Center (PRIME) is a centralized facility for multimodality imaging of small animals, such as mice and rats. The Center has state-of-the-art equipment for microPET/CT, microMRI, microSPECT/CT, fluorescence and bioluminescence imaging, Intravital Multi-photon Fluorescence Microscopy, Ultrasound and Photoacoustic imaging, making this the only center in The Netherlands where more than five imaging modalities for small animal imaging are housed under one roof. The center also contains cognition and behavior rooms with set-ups to measure (social) behavior, learning and memory sensory-motor integration activity and motor skills. Read more...

Clinical imaging center

The Clinical Imaging Center is a facility for multimodality imaging of humans. The Center has state-of-the-art equipment for PET/CT (Siemens mCT), MRI (Siemens 1.5T, 3T and 7T), multislice CT (320-slice Toshiba), and Ultrasound (Toshiba, Siemens, Philips, Samsung-Medison). The center is equipped to perform top-notch clinical research.

Donders Institute

Eighty research groups with about 600 researchers in this cross-faculty research institute probe the neural basis of cognition in health and disease. Their world-leading expertise combines cognitive neuroimaging with anatomical and functional MRI, implementing also advanced (electro)-physiological, genetic, and cognitive assessments. Read more...

Automation in Medical Imaging

The center for Automation in Medical Imaging provides a software platform to support image-based clinical and preclinical studies by providing an effective viewing and (quantitative) evaluation environment that includes modules for algorithm development and high-end automation to speed up evaluation of large imaging databases.
